BERITA BOLA,- Milan - AC Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani confirmed that the negotiation with Santos about Robinho is still ongoing. Galliani claimed they are ready to lower the price to keep Santos on the trading table.
Rossoneri is reported to give special discount for Santos. Previously, Milan quoted for 10 million euro (Rp126.6 billion). However, knowing that Santos is really objected, Milan prepared to lower Robinho price to 8.5 million euros (Rp107,6 billion).
"We spoke to Santos about Robinho, but there is only one week of negotiation time. The transfer session will be closed on July 15," said Galliani as quoted by Football Italia yesterday, July 6.
Last month, Santos vice president Odilio Rodriguez admitted that the chance to bring Robinho home is very thin. He regrets the high price given by Milan.
"Milan offered a very high price, while we are already negotiating," said Rodriguez. "It seems to be unsuccesful."
Galliani responded to Santos immediately by explaining he is not afraid to lose Robinho at a low price since he believes there will be replacement for every leaving player.
"We are sure that we have a strong squad and if one player (Robinho) is leaving, another player will come. If not, then we are just fine like before," said Galliani.
Milan is predicted to suffer a big loss by selling Robinho at 8.5 million euros. When Milan bought Robinho from Manchester City three years ago, the Rossoneri had to pay bigger price than the current Robinho price.
