BERITA BOLA,- Milan - Indonesian entrepreneur Erick Thohir is still negotiating with Inter Milan President Massimo Moratti on the acquisition of Inter Milan.
Thohir reportedly has given a formal offering of €260 billions or around Rp3.3 trillions last May to acquire 80 percent of Inter Milan’s shares. However, Moratti was reluctant to share the ownership.
"Talks are continuing and both parties want to finalise everything. We want to do something positive for Inter," Moratti said as quoted by Football Italia, today.
Moratti was only willing to sell 20 percent of the shares. However, Inter Milan needs more funds to compete in the transfer window, as well as to build a new stadium. Thohir is widely known as a big fan of sports, and has some shares in several sporting clubs, such as NBA club Philadelphia 76ers and Major League Soccer DC United.
